About Us

HADSA, the Health Food and Dietary Supplements Association, was founded in India in 2004, with the key aim of ensuring the health and growth of the nutraceuticals industry in India, from domestic manufacture and consumption to marketing and exports.

Registered as a public trust under section 18 of the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950 vide Certificate No. 641, dated 19th April 2004.

HADSA is an independent, not-for-profit, organization, which is why it can be trusted to be unbiased in its advocacy of the nutraceuticals industry.

HADSA is also a member of the International Alliance for Dietary Supplements Associations (IADSA), an alliance of more than 60 dietary supplement associations spread over 6 continents and based in UK. Membership of IADSA (The International Alliance of Dietary Supplement Associations) gives HADSA, and its members, access to the experience and expertise of nutraceutical professionals, dietitians, and regulators across all continents.

FICCI and HADSA share a common vision of promoting the nutraceuticals industry in India and abroad and advocating for favorable policies and standards.

FICCI and HADSA have jointly prepared white papers and knowledge papers on various topics related to nutraceuticals, such as regulation, categorization, commercialization, opportunities, and challenges.

FICCI and HADSA have been partners in organizing annual nutraceuticals conferences in India since 2009.

HADSA represents the interest of health foods, dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, and the healthcare industry in general comprising manufacturers and suppliers of vitamins, minerals, botanical products, sports nutrition products, and herbs in India.
